storing it in our database and take every precaution to protect your confidentiality.
How do you make sure nobody steals my credit card information?
Only the ownership of Bay Drapery Hardware is involved in handling credit
card and payment information. Therefore, there are no opportunities for credit
card information to go beyond the scope of our control. No employees have access
to this private information.
What about cookies?

computer's hard drive. It allows us to recognize your computer (but not specifically
who is using it) when you arrive at our site by associating the coded information
in the cookie with other customer information you have provided us. The cookie
itself contains no personal identifying information. We may use cookies
to identify the pages you click on during your visit to our site. We use this
information to improve our site design, product assortments, customer service,
and special promotions.
Why do you want to know my name and e-mail address?
We need your name and company information for shipping purposes and to verify
that you are in the "trade". We only sell "WHOLESALE TO THE TRADE".
E-mail is our preferred form of communication. There may customers who do not
have e-mail and although this will be more cumbersome we will still provide products
by creating an online account for them but communicating via fax or phone.
Why do you want to know my credit card number and street
address?
Our primary form of payment is by credit card. This frees
up our time to add products and generally improve the web site instead of making
annoying collection calls. Prepayment by check is also an option but it is certainly
not the quickest or most efficient.
How do you use this information?
The information that you provide to us is used to confirm that you are in
the trade. That account detail is then transferred into our order entry and
accounting programs for general business purposes such as processing orders
and creating purchase orders.
Do you share my information with other parts of your company?
There are no other parts of the company that need to know your credit card
information. Once you have requested an account, your information is entered
into our order entry and accounting programs. Orders are converted into purchase
orders and forwarded to vendors.
What information about me do you share with others?
As a wholesale distributor, we share credit information with the trade if
we receive requests for account history from other vendors. This is a general
practice for almost all companies within our trade. Your credit experience with
us will mostly consist of dollar volume and date established information.
Do you sell my information to anyone?
Your information is not sold to other companies. As a matter of fact, we
see no value to you or to our company, in sharing any of your information (except as
descibed above) unless
you specifically request that we provide your company ordering history to another
vendor.
Can I see and change the information you have about me?
Within your web site account, you have the ability to change your password,
view in-process orders, change ship-to addresses and change any stored credit
card information, as you please.
How can I start or stop receiving e-mail from you?
As a service to our customers, we keep them informed of new products, price
changes, special pricing, and generally updated information. We will use e-mail
for this purpose. If you prefer not take advantage of this free service, you
can e-mail us to be removed from future mailings. You can still check on the
website for updates. Literature, hand samples and sample boards may still be
ordered by special request.
